What is Neuragen?

Neuragen and Neruagen®GEL are topical products that work directly at the site of the nerve pain as opposed to oral products. Neuragen is clinically shown to reduce neuropathic (nerve) pains quickly and without the side effects of orally taken medications. This is in part due to the small lipophilic molecules found in Neuragen which rapidly carry the active ingredients through the rough outer layer of the skin to the site of the pain.

Results with Neuragen

Neuragen and Neruagen®GEL are homeopathic pain relievers and are completely safe to use, with no side effects. Neuragen and Neruagen®GEL may be used alone or in combination with other medications. Always discuss all types of pain with your health care professional.

Neuragen FAQs

How does Neuragen® work?

Results from animal studies indicate that Neuragen® reduces the spontaneous firing of damaged peripheral nerves. By calming these aberrant electrical signals at the source, Neuragen® reduces neuropathic (nerve) pain quickly and without the side effects of orally taken medications. This is in part due to lipophilic molecules found in Neuragen® which rapidly carry the active ingredients through the tough outer layer of the skin (stratum corneum) to the site of the pain.

Has Neuragen® been clinically tested?

Neuragen® has been tested in numerous clinical trials in both the United States and Canada since 2007 with over 80% of users reporting relief. As a product sold in the United States, Neuragen® is manufactured in accordance with FDA Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP).

What type of patients with pain were studied in the clinical trials?

The clinical trials included patients with "all inclusive" pain including those with Diabetic Neuropathy (Diabetic Nerve Pain).

What kind of side effects does Neuragen® have?

In the clinical trials there were no side effects noted. In addition, it is most impressive that there was not a single patient who dropped out during the clinical trials due to side effects. Neuragen® has a unique floral aroma due to its base of natural plant extracts. Persons with known allergies to aromatic compounds or with environmental sensitivities should not use this product.

Is Neuragen® an antidepressant or an anticonvulsant?

Unlike other pain medications, Neuragen® is not an antidepressant or an anticonvulsant. This is the reason why Neuragen® does not have the side effects of other more expensive prescription medications.

Does Neuragen® contain Capsaicin?

Neuragen® contains no capsaicin.

Is Neuragen® safe to use if you are on other medications?

There are currently no known interactions between Neuragen® and other medications. In Neuragen® clinical trials, patients continued to take current medications and no adverse reactions were noted.

Is it safe for diabetics?

Neuragen® is safe for diabetics, and this is one of the primary areas where it has been clinically studied. However, you should always be sure to see your health care professional regularly if you have diabetes.

Do I need a prescription for Neuragen® ?

You will be happy to know that Neuragen® is available without a prescription.

How quickly does it work?

Clinical trials indicate that Neuragen® provides soothing relief in about 10-20 minutes from the first application and can last up to 8 hours.

What sizes does Neuragen® and Neruagen®GEL come in?

Neuragen® is available in a 5 ml (depending upon use, approximately a 1 month supply) size or a 15 ml (depending upon use, approximately a 3 month supply) size. The 15 ml size comes with a spray head for convenient use on larger areas. Neruagen®GEL comes in an 8 gram jar.

What are the ingredients in Neuragen® ?

Homeopathic active ingredients in a base of purified oil extracts from: Pelargonium spp. (geranium oil), Lavendula angustifolia (lavender oil), Citrus bergamia (bergamot oil), Eucalyptus globulus (eucalyptus oil), Melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree oil).

What are the contraindictions and cautions?

For topical use only, do not take internally. Do not use on broken skin. Discontinue use if rash develops. Avoid use near the eyes. Keep out of reach of children. If pregnant or breast feeding, consult a health care professional before use. May stain some fabrics or furniture finishes. Do not use if tamper evident seal is broken. See your health care professional if symptoms persist or worsen, or if new symptoms develop. Neuragen® has a unique floral aroma due to its base of natural essential plant extracts. The aroma usually does not cause allergic sensitivities, but persons with known allergies to aromatic compounds or with environmental sensitivities should not use this product. Neuragen® is not recommended for muscular pain or arthritis unless at least one of the following symptoms are present; shooting, tingling, prickling, or burning pain or sensitivity to touch.

How often should I use Neuragen® ?

Apply a few drops or spray to the affected area several times a day or as needed. Apply enough to cover the entire area. For efficient application to wider areas, we recommend diluting 4-5 drops of Neuragen® in 1 tablespoon of a suitable massage or carrier oil (such as olive or mineral oil) prior to application. Use no more than 4 times daily. Neuragen® is concentrated-apply only a few drops as applying more than a few drops at a time may not improve effectiveness. Upon first application, the patient may experience fast relief-usually within 30 minutes. If relief is not experienced with the first application, patient should repeat the application over a period of three days.
